Kate, Coffee, Cake & Community

With Kate Grayson, Occupational Therapist, and Lindsey from L of a Community

Tuesday 14th July
10.30am to 12.30pm

The venue will be open from 9.30am.

Join us for a relaxed coffee and cake session with Kate Grayson from Therapeeze.

Kate is a specialist Occupational Therapist and founder of The InnerMe Project and Therapeeze Occupational Therapy. Her work focuses on helping families better understand sensory needs, regulation, overwhelm, interoception and behaviour through a nervous-system-aware approach.

This session is run by L of a Community and held at L of a Bake on Bowes Street in Blyth, NE24 1BD, also known as The Pink Café.

It’s an informal chance to sit down, have a cuppa, ask questions, and chat through some of the real-life challenges that come with supporting children and young people with sensory, emotional and regulation needs.

Lindsey from L of a Community will also be there, so you can pick her brains about the practical side of SEND parenting, EHCPs, EOTAS, social care, direct payments, complaints, meetings, emails, and generally trying to navigate systems that are not always built with families in mind.

This is not a formal appointment or a clinical assessment. It’s a friendly, supportive session where you can ask questions, share experiences, learn from Kate’s OT knowledge, and get some real-life guidance from people who understand how hard this can feel.

After how popular our last session with Kate was, this event is ticketed only so we can manage numbers and keep the session calm, useful, and not completely chaotic.

Tickets are £3 per person, and your ticket includes your first coffee when you arrive.

Spaces are limited, so please book your ticket in advance.
